I haven't found a max bench in almost a year and half and lost 30 pounds over the past two months and still managed to put up 250lbs, max weight pull up was 81.0 pounds, my 5k run 20:41
Steve how much do you weigh? For your shoulder girdle and joint to be stable, a good marker is your pullup and bench press, they should be almost equal, not sure on the numbers but prob within 15-20 lbs.So add your bodyweight to your pullup weight and see how close you are.
I benched 275 and pulled 110, I weigh 165. Im weak but at least Im balanced. That heat took it out of me(excuses) 20:33 5k
aj, i'm not clear on what you were telling steve. what's a good mark for females? i know bench isn't quite the same, but i figure i should at least have bwt, right? and what about the dead-hang? where should i be on that?

Ashley it's the same for girls, take the total weight you did on pullup, including your BODYWEIGHT, (18lbs + your bodyweight). It should be close to or equal to your benchpress weight. That is a good assessment of your shoulder's stability/muscular balance. For example a powerlifter who benches 500+ probably cant do a pullup with that weight, therefore has a muscular imbalance in their shoulder.(some not all)
Wow! I forgot how bad 5K can hurt. 22:34. AJ let me ask you this why can I run 8 min miles for hours, but even just 30 sec a mile faster crushes me? I was expecting my lungs to hold out and my legs to burn, but I got the opposite.
So I weigh 195 right now. That's 260 for PU + BWT, and only bench 225. I dunno what that means. I do know I can't wait to start beating some of these horrible weights and times.
