CROSSFIT FORT BRAGG HERO WOD & FUNDRAISER BBQ

SATURDAY,OCTOBER 9, 2010

HERO WOD AT 10:00 AM, BBQ TO FOLLOW

Please join us for a special fundraising event this Saturday at CFFB .  The regular 10am SOS will be a Hero WoD.  Trust me it will be quite a smoker.
Immediately after, we will fire up the grill for some good eats.  Throughout the day there will be  contests, such as a pull-up competition and tire flipping competition.  There will also be stuff for the kids to do. 
We are inviting everyone in the community to this event, so please tell your family, neighbors, friends,  etc.  We are asking for a contribution in exchange for food and entertainment.  Please give what you can.  All proceeds will go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation in honor recently fallen heros in the Special Ops community.
**We also need people to bring food, beverages, and games for the kids.  Please contact Elise if you can bring something**






clean and jerk on the minute, starting at 70% of max, add 5lbs until fail
-if you fail clean first, have a rack set up to continue with jerks
-if you fail jerks, continue with cleans until fail
-full cleans, ass to ankles

  2. ATA Clean & Jerk: 160-205, Complete. Cleaned 210, missed Jerk. Missed clean on 215.

    T2B - 20, 15+5, 7+5+8
    GHR - 3x10 (No machine for this, had a buddy hold my ankles)
    HR - Complete, (kinda. First time doing these, felt strange)

    215# is my PR for squat cleans, so I guess I wasn't far off today. Still, pretty disappointed. T2B were Hell on my callouses. GHRs are hard as fuck, I'm guessing because I have the Hamstring strength of an 8 year old Girl Scout.

    Fuck, it sucks being the most remedial Kid in class...

  5. i was off today. that's all there was too it.

    c&j - started at 125. failed jerk @ 155 & failed clean at 160. 10lbs below my c&j pr and 15lbs below my clean pr that i got back in may.

    3x20 T2B completed
    3x20 glute ham raises completed
    3x30 hollow rocks completed

    worked mu progressions.

  6. curious as to what the limiting factor should be on the c&j. mine is the jerk, but from what i hear it's the opposite for a lot of people... especially guys.
